JUNETEENTH IN HARLEM, June 19, 2014!

We need your support to make this event happen! Please if you have any food donations please bring them! Especially fruit, apples, oranges, bananas, etc. This is an out-of-pocket event! A group of us thought that so many times information that are people should receive is using discussed on panels in other communities. We took upon ourselves to bring these authors to our community. We will also have some oral histories presented by some elders, that were a part of a Harlem Consumer Cooperative in the 1960s, and Ben Armstead will be present to talk about his grandfather who started the first Black Bank in Chicago, and FDIC to be put into law. Knowing ones history and communicating it with one another is powerful! Thanking you in Advance!
