The Chronicles of the New Jack Era, a book written by Gerald G. Money

The Chronicles of the New Jack Era, a book written by Gerald G. Money and graphic designer Dan Myrick

The Chronicles of the New Jack Era, the official autobiography of the original, Gerald G. Money. Written by: Gerald G. Money "Am I Not My Brother's Keeper". Gerald has broken with silence and has written an autobiography of his life's experiences so that others can learn the real life stories. The New Jack City(tm)is a Hollywood movie, G Money says that gangster life should not be idolized. He says, "that the reality of gangster life is the opposite as to how gangster life was portrayed in the Hollywood movie, 'New Jack City'.

He says in the introduction of the book that "so many lives have been destroyed and killed trying to walk in the footsteps of pimps, dons and gangsters." G Money is on a mission. He says he has risen from Gangster to God. He thinks that a new era must begin, and that young African American males must be taught to not look up to gangster life. G'Money states that "the facts and the rules of gangster life are not known." "It is a trap, that so many brothers and sisters have fallen into, and that they can rise up to the divinity of God".

"Am I not my brother's Keeper"? He says that it is time to bring on the New Jack Era. He wants the public to know that the movie New Jack City, is a fictitious tale that was based on real lives, and real people. The movie takes place in Harlem during the time of the crack epidemic, birth of Hip Hop, and the days of New York City's Studio 54.

There was a group called CMB which he explains in the book, aka Cash Money Brothers. Nino Brown and G'Money do exist. They are two of the main characters in the movie. They ran the streets and used all kinds of drugs in the 90s. He states "my tale is not an easy one to tell".

JEROME JOHNSON - COMMUNITY SOLAR ENERGY DEMONSTRATION HOUSE

Update: Elder Jerome Johnson has passed away. We are taken aback with sadness. There was no support for his plight in continuing to do community work. He was very angry going thru the ageing process, and his dream of building community was deferred, and ignored. It is so sad how so many elders are treated. Especially, elders like Mr. Johnson who gave so much. His wish was to have the solar house made into a museum.  Jerome Johnson! J erome Johnson is 86 years of age. He exemplifies our society’s disregard towards our ageing population. How our ageing population is treated and ignored. As throwaway items in society. Where elder citizens are told you are old and youth is new). They are not appreciated, and their life long work is disrespected and in many cases seen as irrelevant.    Mr. Johnson is a People’s pioneer in how-to create and invent for the everyday citizen and community. He developed the solar cooker in the 70s, and created a demonstrati...

Michaela DePrince.

I am still finding it difficult to wrap my mind around the loss of Michaela DePrince at 29 years old. A game changer in the Ballet world from Sierra Leone, Harlem to the world.  This morning my take was through her life, a lesson. The lesson whatever you are doing, learning, practicing 'to make it your own' whether you are young or old. Be positive in your pursuit or pursuits.
